ABOUT THE CONCERT
Violinist Andrea Cicalese, born in Naples, Italy in 2005, quickly gained recognition in the music world in Europe and the United States. He was the youngest guest in the history of the film series "Living the Classical Life" and regularly performs in prestigious venues in Austria, France, Germany, and Italy.
In October 2022, Andrea made his debut as a soloist in the United States alongside pianist Alexander Malofeev, receiving acclaim from Pianist Magazine. In 2023, he performed the Sibelius Violin Concerto with the Baden-Baden Philharmonic Orchestra.
Andrea began studying violin at the age of seven in Munich, Germany, and at the age of eleven, he was admitted to the Perosi Music Academy in Biella, Italy. In 2019, he won first prize at the "German Young Musician Competition" in Halle and shortly after made his debut with the Beethoven Violin Concerto. Since 2020, he has been studying with Josef Rissin at the University of Music and Performing Arts in Karlsruhe.
