ABOUT THE CONCERT
An evening of rich colors, emotions, and unique musical dialogue awaits with the exceptional Slovak cellist Eugen Prochác and harpist Adriana Antalová. In the intimate setting of the House of Music, they will present a program that spans centuries and styles – from Baroque grace to modern minimalism.
The concert opens with Antonio Vivaldi’s expressive Sonata No. 5 in E minor, followed by atmospheric and lesser-known 20th-century works such as Marcel Tournier’s dreamlike Nocturne and Milan Novák’s charming Rondo on Childhood Loves for solo harp. The emotional depth of Ilja Zeljenka’s Monologue for solo cello will be balanced by the serene contemplation of Arvo Pärt’s minimalist Spiegel im Spiegel. The evening concludes with fiery and rhythmically rich Spanish works by Ravel, de Falla, and Granados, full of passion and flair.
This rare pairing of harp and cello promises a refined, intimate, and unforgettable musical experience for classical music lovers and curious listeners alike.
