ABOUT THE PLAY

A performance with strings is a cheerful mix of object theatre, puppet theatre and clowning.

All of us who played in our youth or still play the "Cat’s Cradle” game will be thrilled to see how a children’s pastime can be turned into an imaginative theatre piece. A shy performer in a stage outfit charms the audience, at times roguishly, at times tenderly, by entwining, untangling and cutting strings to create a touching and magical story about small - big heroes and the fact that even small acts require great courage.

About the theatre:

Long & Short Company is the theatre company of Lee Daeyeol, who is its performer, writer and sole member. He began his career as a street yo-yo performer and has expanded it to include clowning, puppetry and object theatre. His representative works include "Show with Strings" and "Departure". "Show with Strings" won the Best National Performance Award at the 2019 Chuncheon International Puppet Theatre Festival.
