ABOUT THE PLAY

Wildfire is a moving play by Israeli author and actress Mor Antar about a young girl's coming of age in Israel.

Caroline's head is on fire. She turns twelve next month and doesn't understand what's going on. Why is everyone making such a big deal out of her growing up? How on earth is she supposed to get through it with a father who doesn't understand her, with classmates who gang up on her, and without a mother she's never known? Under the pressure of circumstances, the girl loses her head and resorts to violence. As a result, she begins to reassess her life. Wildfire is a touching drama about searching and finding.

About the theatre:

The Croatian ensemble Pinklec has been making theatre for children and youth for a long time under the auspices of the Čakovec Cultural Centre. Since 2020, it has been part of the European project Connect Up, partly funded by the Creative Europe programme, which also involves co-productions. Wildfire was created in collaboration with the Orna Porat Theatre in Tel Aviv (Israel).
