About theatre:
The Ljubljana Puppet Theatre is a major Slovenian puppet theatre and theatre for children and youth. It was founded in 1948. The theatre continues the centuries-old tradition of Slovenian puppetry. It focuses on the development of modern forms of puppet and object theatre. Its productions are internationally acclaimed. The theatre has five permanent stages and operates the Puppet Theatre Museum in Ljubljana. Since 2020 it has been part of the European project Connect Up, partly funded by the Creative Europe programme, which also involves co-productions. Amazonke was created in collaboration with the Kragujevac Children Theatre (Serbia).
